Despite the interruption of searches to locate Nathaniel Meissner, investigators of the Public Security Service of the MRC des Collines-de-l'Outaouais believe this individual may still be in the area of L'Ange-Gardien or Buckingham. At the time of his disappearance, he had in his possession one (1) prepaid Subway card, one (1) prepaid Tim Horton card and one (1) prepaid Metro card.

He would only have had a few dollars in his pockets, nothing more. Investigators are therefore asking the public of these areas and employees of Subway, Tim Horton, Metro and Giant Tiger to keep an eye open since it was in his habits to go to these places. In addition, it is not impossible that he would attend churches and social gatherings, such as AA. Having no vehicle, he must hitchhike, take a bus or walk in order to move around.

The telephone number to contact us is 1-888-459-9911.

Tractor-trailer overturned on Highway 105 in La Pêche on November 22

The police service concluded that the inappropriate speed of the 26 year old young driver from Kazabazua could have had tragic consequences when his tractor-trailer overturned on McLaren Road. A traffic violation in the amount of $1,000.00, plus applicable fees, as well as four (4) demerit points will be issued to the driver.

In addition, the investigation conducted by the highway controllers also revealed abnormalities under laws governed at their level. As a result of this, the trailer has been put out of service and violations will be issued to the owner. A request was also made to the Ministry of Transport to ensure that signs indicating the risk of overturning at that location be put up as soon as possible.

House boat engulfed in flames floats down Gatineau River in Wakefield, Quebec

Some Wakefield villagers may have heard a gunshot-like sound in the Gatineau Hills the night of Nov. 13. Then they may have looked outside and seen Denis Tremblay's boat engulfed in flames and floating down the Gatineau River.

Tremblay – who is the owner of Boiserie du Ruisseau, a furniture store on Valley Drive – said he built the house boat four years ago and sometimes rented it out for rides.

Standing on the train tracks watching the ball of flames float down the river, Tremblay said he had no idea how the boat caught fire. Pick up this week's Low Down to find out more.
