May 16 3 FILES RELATED TO DRIVING WHILE IMPAIRED
Friday, at approximately 19:00 hrs, a 34 year old Gracefield woman was arrested after being involved in an accident in front of 325 Principale Road West, in La Pêche. When tested, she was close to twice the allowable limit. She will appear in Court on August 9.
Saturday, at approximately 00:30 hrs, a 26 year old Luskville man was arrested at the intersection of Highway 148 and Alary Road. However, his test results showed he was under the allowable limit. Therefore, it is likely there will be no charges.
Sunday, at approximately 22:40 hrs, police officers responded to an off-road accident on Des Quatre L Road, in L'Ange-Gardien. At the time of the arrival of firefighters and police, the driver had disappeared. The incident is still being investigated. It is believed that the 24 year old Gatineau man driving at the time of the accident was intoxicated.

May 9 MASTURBATOR ARRESTED Wednesday, May 2, investigators of the Public Security Service of the MRC des Collines-de-l'Outaouais proceeded to arrest of a 34 year old man from La Pêche in relation to an indecent exposure file. ...more
May 9 At approximately 19:00 hrs last night, there was a motor vehicle accident on Highway 105, in the Municipality of La Pêche, Farrelton sector. A young female driver travelling in a northern direction lost control of her vehicle in a curve. The vehicle finished on its rooftop after violently hitting a support wall on the shoulder of the road. The driver and a young female passenger came out of the accident unscathed; they were checked by paramedics, but were not transported to hospital. The young driver did not adjust her speed at the approach of the curve on a wet surface. This curve is known to have been the cause of numerous accidents in the past. Traffic was disrupted while the road was cleared, but quickly returned to normal.

May 8 Week-end Recap
- Friday, May 4, 23:30 hrs : police operation for alcohol at the intersection of Highways 105 and 5, in Chelsea. Two (2) arrests: a 45 year old man from Ottawa and a 23 year old man from La Pêche.
- Saturday, May 5: two (2) break and enters - one of Pierre-Laporte Road, in L'Ange-Gardien, and the other at the Lac de l'Argile campsite, in Notre-Dame-de-la-Salette. A 28 year old Gatineau man was arrested, at Meech Lake, for possession of cannabis. At 22:30 hrs, a 16 year old teenager from Gatineau was arrested for dangerous driving of an ATV in Val-des-Monts. At 23:30 hrs, three (3) ATV's were intercepted in the vicinity of Route du Carrefour, in Val-des-Monts. The three (3) ATV's were towed. Infractions should be issued to the drivers.
- Sunday, May 6: two (2) arrests for possession of cannabis: a 24 year old female from Ottawa and a 20 year old man from Gatineau.
- Monday, May 7: questioning of several individuals concerning the theft of a kayak on Villeneuve Road, in Cantley.
Eventful weekend ! April 27 Building on Usher Road, in La Pêche, destroyed by fire; $100,000.00 in damages. The Fire Department is investigating and it appears the cause would be accidental.
April 28 A 19 year old Chelsea man arrested, at approximately 23:45 hrs, on Highway 105, in Chelsea. He was involved in an off-road accident and at the time of the police officers' arrival, he was sleeping behind the wheel. He was more than twice the allowable limit and subject to the "Zero tolerance alcohol". In addition to the criminal charge, he received a fine in the amount of $444.00. He will appear in Court on July 19.
April 29 A 21 year old man from Ottawa arrested at approximately 00:20 hrs in Quyon, at a roadblock. He was more than twice the allowable limit. He will appear in Court on July 19.
April 29 Murder of Nicolas Quintal, 18 years old, from Pontiac (Quyon). Daniel Semples, 19 years old and also from Quyon, arrested.
April 29 Accident with injuries on Highway 148, Pontiac. A 31 year old female driver would have fallen asleep while driving and her car ended up in the ditch. Her three (3) children were injured in the accident, but did not sustain life threatening injuries. They were all transported to the Hull Hospital.
April 29 Death of a 58 year old Cantley woman as a result of falling from the roof of her residence located on Denis Road, in Cantley. They were proceeding with renovations at the time of the accident. The file is still under investigation.
April 30 Between 02:30 hrs and 02:45 hrs, fire was set in two (2) vehicles in Val-des-Monts. The first occured on de la Paix Road and the second, several minutes later, on Réthier Road. Both vehicles were located in the same sector and the investigation revealed that arson is the cause in both cases. Anyone having information is asked to contact the Criminal Investigation Division at 819-459-2422 or via Info-Crime at 1-800-711-1800.
April 18, 2012 Three (3) more arrests for driving while impaired
At approximately 21:10 hrs, a 47 year old man, from the Municipality of Low, was arrested on Montée de la Source, in Cantley. He was driving with an expired driver's licence. He will also be charged with possession of cannabis. Then, at approximately 22:50 hrs, a Val-des-Monts man was arrested on Rang 6 Road. He was involved in an off-road accident close to his home. To finish it off, at approximately 02:00 hrs this morning, a 20 year old Gatineau woman was arrested on Ferry Road, in Quyon. Not only was she impaired, but was also subject to the new legislation "zero tolerance" for alcohol related matter
April 17, 2012 Sunday, April 15, at approximately 21:00 hrs, a fire completely destroyed a residence, which was under renovation, located on Filion Road, in L'Ange-Gardien. The damages are estimated at more that $200,000.00. The Municipality of L'Ange-Gardien Fire Department have the mandate to determine the cause and circumstances of this fire. No one was on site at the time. 
April 17, 2012 More arrests for driving while impaired
Between last Thursday and Monday, several individuals were arrested on our roadways for driving while impaired by alcohol. First, on Thursday, at approximately 22:30 hrs, a 26 year old man was arrested on Du Fort Road, in Val-des-Monts. Then, at approximately 00:30 hrs, a 22 year old man from Chute St-Philippe was arrested on Edelweiss Road, in La Pêche. Still during the same night, a 22 year old man from Gatineau was arrested on Montée de la Source, in Cantley. To end it all, a 77 year old Ottawa man was arrested Monday night, at approximately 23:30 hrs, on Du Versant Road, in Cantley.

- Only five (5) infractions regarding winter tires were issued this winter.
- This afternoon, investigators will be on the scene of the house fire which occurred on Denis Road in Cantley in order to determine the cause and circumstances of the blaze. It is presently considered of a suspicious nature. More details to come.
- Saturday, at approximately 11:15 hrs, a 50 year old female driver from Gatineau loss control of her vehicle in a curve on Cléo-Fournier Road in La Pêche, East-Aldfield sector, hit the front of a residence, to end up in a wooden fence. The driver was not injured. At the time of the impact with the house, the resident, who was in her living room, thought there was an earthquake. The reason for the loss of control remains unexplained at this time

Accident in Alcove sector – 12/02/28 – 18:00 hrs – near the 911, Highway 105
Last night, at approximately 18:00 hrs, a 64 year old male resident from Low made the unpleasant acquaintance of the wheel from a heavy transport on Highway 105 in the Alcove sector, in the Municipality of La Pêche.
The man was headed home, travelling north, when a wheel violently landed on the windshield of this minivan. Luckily, the impact was mainly absorbed by the vehicle's structure, as can be seen by the attached photo. The man was transported to the Wakefield Hospital, where he was treated for minor injuries.
The wheel was found approximately a hundred meters farther. It is the wheel of a heavy transport, more than likely a semi-trailer. No truck driver was identified as responsible.

Two (2) arrests for driving while impaired
At approximately 01:30 hrs, on Route du Carrefour, in Val-des-Monts, a 52 year old female from Cantley was arrested. When tested for her alcohol level, it was more than three (3) times the allowable limit. She will appear in Court on May 16.
At approximately 03:20 hrs, on Highway 105, in La Pêche, a 28 year old man from Kazabazua was also arrested. He was travelling in a northern direction with three (3) passengers on board. He will appear in Court on May 16.
Two (2) break-ins reported.
At approximately 04:30 hrs, the suspect smashed the window of a cottage located on Napoléon Marenger, in Val-des-Monts; the alarm drove the suspect away.
The other incident occurred between 13:00 hrs and 20:00 hrs on Des Métiers Road, in Chelsea. The suspect made his way into the residence by smashing a basement window.
